Tasting note

Florent Baumard grows this chenin on 15 acres of shale and sand over sandstone. The flavors touch on cool apple notes and soil-driven earthiness, but the wine is mostly about texture, luscious and deep, integrating some residual sugar so that it feels round but tastes savory.
