Tasting note
This unabashed delight is underpinned by ripe tannin and framed by excellent tangy acidity. It barrels from the glass with lifted aromas of sweet vanilla, baking spice and black cherry before coating the palate with a medium-full bodied mouthful of black currant and ripe sweet mulberry carried along on a spine of pie cherry and passionfruit flavour. This is balanced and brimming with ripe fruit. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5). (Vic Harradine, winecurrent.com, Jan. 16, 2017)
Excellent with duck and savoury dishes, this Shiraz has flavours of blackberry, white pepper and a hint of oak. Blended with a small portion of Viognier, this northern Rhone style blend is showing good balance and complexity.
