Tasting note

From one of the greats of Venetian winemaking. The grapes for this were sourced from three separate areas: the Corvina from the Moraine Hills; the Raboso from Treviso; and the Refosco from Aquileia. These grapes were then dried before fermentation - a process that results in more concentrated colour, flavour and body. This wine offers dark berry, red cherry, cocoa, cracked pepper and leather. Ripe, rich and long, it will be ideal with meaty pasta dishes. (Vintages panel, Oct. 2016)
