Tasting note

It was recently discovered that Falanghina Beneventana, which is grown in the Beneventano zone (the clue is in the name), is actually a distinct variety from the more common Falanghina Flegrea that grows throughout much of Campania. Grape academia aside, this is a beautiful wine offering pretty floral notes, pear, apple and a touch of mineral backed by crisp acidity. A lovely warm-weather sipper. (Vintages panel, May 2016)
