Tasting note

Beautifully complex, maturing perfume of spiced meats, fig, plum sauce, incense, and leather. It's silky and elegant in the mouth with fabulous echoes of the rich notions of the nose plus a touch of tangy raspberry. Acidity and fine tannins combine for a clean, precise finish. From the heel of Italy, this wine is full of ripe plum and delicious earthy notes. It is made from Uva de Troia, a variety that prospers in Southern Italy's baking climate. A hard cow's milk cheese like aged cheddar offsets its flavours nicely.
