Tasting note
Made from Plavac Mali, the primary red wine grape of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, this wine delivers excellent complexity for the price. Ripe cherry, plum, prune, vanilla and oak spice all make an appearance in the aromas and flavours. The balance of the palate is impressive, and there's good grip on the finish. Try it with generously spiced roasted pheasant, mutton or a mushroom casserole. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2014)
