Tasting note

Raspberry ripple ice cream! Choc sundaes, cherry on chocolate, hint of mint and chamomile. Sweet-fruited perfume, but some nice herbal notes too. More herbal and leafy to taste but black fruit flows lusciously - chewy tannins tinged with greenery give good structure and firmness, dragging flavours long, touch of spiky acidity spoils the party a little. Medium-bodied, sleek, with rustic charm of splintery oak and earthiness throughout. Good gear. Drink: 2015-2020. Score - 89. (Mike Bennie, winefront.com.au, Feb. 19, 2015)

Attractive nose of lifted chocolate mint and rich fruits of blackcurrants and mulberry with hints of bramble and violets supported by subtle cedary oak. Medium to full bodied palate with rich varietal fruit flavours, balanced acidity and silky fruit tannins supported by gentle oak finishing seamlessly with elegance and length.
